Required modifications

Subframe: Hasport says its EKK kit only works with an EG Civic or DC2 Integra front subframe and also requires the EG/DC2 steering rack and lower control arms. Engine mounts: Hasport EKK5 is the EKK version for the 08-13 Accord, 09-14 TSX and 12-15 Civic Si manual transmissions. Innovative sells individual K-series mounts: a left-hand mount listed for the EK and 12-15 Civic Si (90010) and a right-hand mount listed for EG/EK and 12-15 Civic Si FG/FB (90120). Wiring: K-swap engine harness and EK conversion harness that support the K24Z7 and match the EK model year. Also axles for the 12-15 Si gearbox, shifter cables, cooling, fuel and exhaust.

Important caveats

  • Mount kits are transmission-specific; the 12-15 Si gearbox needs the EKK5 version of the Hasport kit.
  • Hasport states on its GE Fit kit that its brackets for the 08-13 Accord/09-14 TSX/12-15 Si transmissions do not work with US K24A1, K20A2, K20A3 and K20Z1 blocks, so keep the K24Z7 engine with its own gearbox family.
  • Confirm that your engine harness and ECU support the K24Z7 before buying; many K-swap harnesses are built around 2002-2004 RSX wiring.
  • 1996-1998 and 1999-2000 EK Civics use different chassis conversion harnesses.
