Installation notes
Yes — the front spindles and brakes from a 1994-2001 Acura Integra (DC2/DB) fit a 1992-1995 Honda Civic (EG) with the complete knuckle, caliper and rotor assemblies, plus the Integra booster, master cylinder and proportioning valve. A Civic-EG.com write-up by teal_dx calls every part a direct swap that bolts right in. In a separate Civic-EG.com thread, members say 1994-2001 Integra suspension is close to the EG's, so either the spindles alone or the spindles plus control arms can be moved. They warn not to use parts from a 1990-1993 Integra (DA). Smaller-brake EG models start with rotors of at most 240 mm, so this is a real increase in rotor size.
Caution
Important caveats
- Do not use 1990-1993 Integra (DA) front parts; the thread specifically warns against them.
- Do not use front spindles from a 1997-2001 Integra Type R: they are 5-lug with 282 mm rotors, so the EG's 4-lug wheels would no longer fit (well-established fact; not stated in the cited threads).
- If you also fit Integra rear discs, use a proportioning valve from a non-ABS Integra, del Sol or Civic that had rear discs, or the rears can lock under hard braking.
- ABS-equipped Integra parts may come with hoses that don't suit a non-ABS Civic; reuse the Civic hoses or fit braided lines.
- An alignment is needed after the spindle swap.
- No OEM part numbers were confirmed for this entry.
