Accord Euro R Brake Upgrade
Significant brake upgrade using larger 282mm rotors and 4-piston calipers from Accord Euro R.
Civic Type R 5-lug hubs, brakes, and suspension (knuckles, rear disc trailing arms, shocks/springs, front sway bar)
Near-direct bolt-on conversion from 4-lug drum to CTR 5-lug four-wheel disc. Bolts up directly: CTR e-brake cables (no modification), CTR front knuckle/hub/brake assemblies over the standard 96-00 Civic axles (retained for both D-series and B-series engines), and CTR rear disc trailing arms. Reusable stock parts: front brake lines (rerouted), rear lower control arms, and upper A-arms. Required extras: Integra rear flexible brake lines for the rear discs, and CTR or Si front lower control arms if fitting the CTR/Si front sway bar, because EX arms have a different sway bar mounting point. E-brake cables from a 99-00 USDM Civic Si (Canadian SiR) also work. Strongly recommended supporting parts: Civic Si 4040 proportioning valve and Integra Type R 1-inch master cylinder/booster to correct front bias once rear discs are fitted. Brakes bleed normally, same as USDM ITR calipers. Reference cost of the original build: about $2,100 including 5-lug kit with rear sway bar (~$1,200), CTR shock/spring set (~$200), wheels, tires, and lug nuts.
