K20A2 engine and 6-speed transmission
into Integra (from RSX Type-S)
Yes: the K20A2 engine and 6-speed transmission from the RSX Type-S (2002-2004) fits the Integra (1994-2001) — moderate difficulty, modifications required.
Installation notes
Required modifications
Engine mounts: Hasport DC2K2 (raises the engine 0.75 in. for ground clearance using the DC2's taller hood line; RSX and 02-11 Civic Si transmissions only), the Hasport EGK kit, or Innovative 90150 (EG/DC K20 kit; transmission bracket only fits 02+ Civic Si, RSX or Integra manual transmissions). Wiring: K-swap engine harness plus a conversion harness to the DC2 chassis and gauge cluster. Axles: K-swap axles for 92-00 Civic/94-01 Integra used with the RSX/EP3 intermediate shaft. Also shifter cables and box, radiator and hoses, fuel line and exhaust.
Important caveats
- Hasport says power steering cannot be used with the DC2K2 kit and that it is not compatible with a no-cut shifter box.
- The DC2K2 kit only works with the RSX and 2002-2011 Civic Si manual transmissions.
- Hasport lists its K-series swap axles for street use and for the RSX/EP3 intermediate shaft.
- FitMyBuild already lists a K24/K20A2 hybrid in the DC2; this entry is the stock K20A2.
