Hydraulic-clutch B/D-series manual transmission (auto-to-manual conversion)
into Civic (automatic) (from Civic (manual))
Yes: the Hydraulic-clutch B/D-series manual transmission (auto-to-manual conversion) from the Civic (manual) (1992-1995) fits the Civic (automatic) (1992-1995) — difficult difficulty, modifications required.
Installation notes
Required modifications
An automatic EG chassis needs a manual-transmission mount. Hasport's EGAMH is a manual transmission mount for the 1992–1995 Civic and 1994–1997 del Sol with an automatic chassis, and works with both B-series and D-series hydraulic manual transmissions. Innovative Mounts sells a 1992–1995 Civic conversion engine mount kit for B/D-series engines with a 2-bolt timing-belt post mount and a hydraulic manual transmission, for auto-to-manual conversions. Innovative notes that its engine mount requires the 1997–2001 CR-V / 1999–2000 Civic Si B-series timing-belt post bracket (their B50050).
Important caveats
- The vendor pages cover mounts only. The clutch pedal, clutch master and slave cylinders and lines, shifter, flywheel and clutch, and engine computer for a manual car are not described in the fetched sources. Plan for them separately.
- Innovative's EG kit engine mount needs a 1997–2001 CR-V / 1999–2000 Civic Si B-series timing-belt post bracket (Innovative part B50050). Check which post mount your engine has.
- Hasport's EGAMH is for the EG Civic and del Sol. For a 1994–2001 Integra, Hasport points to part DCAMH instead.
- No OEM part numbers were confirmed for this entry.
