Yes — the manual 5- or 6-speed transmission from a 2002–2006 Acura RSX or RSX Type-S (DC5) fits a 2002–2006 Acura RSX automatic (DC5) using an auto-to-manual conversion mount kit, plus the manual car's clutch pedal and hydraulics, shifter and cables, and a manual-transmission ECU. Hasport (DC5AMC) and Innovative Mounts both sell kits made to fit a K-series manual transmission into the automatic RSX chassis. Hasport also offers versions of the kit for the TSX, Accord and 2012–2015 Civic Si manual gearboxes.

Required modifications

The RSX automatic chassis needs different transmission-side mounts to carry a manual gearbox. Hasport's DC5AMC auto-to-manual kit comes in three versions. DC5AMC takes the RSX / 2002–2011 Civic Si transmissions and needs a factory 5- or 6-speed rear bracket. DC5AMC-4 takes the 2004–2008 TSX / 2003–2007 Accord transmissions. DC5AMC-5 takes the 2012–2015 Civic Si / 2009–2014 TSX / 2008–2013 Accord transmissions. The last two include Hasport's own rear bracket. Hasport also sells the left-hand mount and bracket separately (DC5AMC-LH) for the RSX / Civic Si manual transmission, used with an RSX or 2002–2005 Civic Si rear bracket. Innovative Mounts sells an RSX auto-to-manual conversion engine mount kit and a separate left-hand mounting bracket for the same job.

Important caveats

  • The vendor pages cover mounts and brackets only. The rest of the conversion (clutch pedal and hydraulics, shifter and cables, flywheel and clutch, axles, and engine computer and wiring for a manual car) is not described in the fetched sources. Plan and source those parts separately.
  • Hasport's RSX / 2002–2011 Civic Si version reuses a factory 5- or 6-speed rear bracket, which you have to source. The TSX/Accord and 2012–2015 Si versions include Hasport's bracket.
  • Innovative says its kit is for K-series engines in the DC5 chassis and recommends professional installation. Its mounts can't be returned once bolted down.
