K20Z3 engine and 6-speed transmission
into Integra (from Civic Si)
Yes: the K20Z3 engine and 6-speed transmission from the Civic Si (2006-2011) fits the Integra (1994-2001) — moderate difficulty, modifications required.
Installation notes
Required modifications
Engine mounts: Hasport DC2K2 (works with RSX and 02-11 Civic Si manual transmissions; raises the engine 0.75 in.) or the Hasport EGK2 version of the EGK kit; Innovative lists its K-series right-hand mount (90120) for the 94-01 Integra DB/DC and the 06-11 Civic Si FG/FA. Throttle/ECU: the K20Z3 uses an electronic (drive-by-wire) throttle, so the ECU, pedal and throttle body setup must be planned. Wiring: K-swap engine and DC2 conversion harness. Also axles for the Si gearbox, shifter cables, cooling, fuel and exhaust.
Important caveats
- Hasport says power steering cannot be used with the DC2K2 kit and that it is not compatible with a no-cut shifter box.
- The K20Z3 uses drive-by-wire throttle from the factory; confirm your ECU and harness support it or plan a conversion.
- Many K-swap harnesses are built around 2002-2004 RSX wiring; check K20Z3 compatibility with the harness maker.
- FitMyBuild already has a separate entry for the K20Z3-era Civic Si transmission into the RSX.
