Installation notes

Yes — the front sway bar from a 1994–2001 Acura Integra (DC2) fits a 1996–2000 Honda Civic (EK) as long as the car has Civic EX or HX front lower control arms. The 1994–2001 Integra LS bar is 22mm and the GS-R and 1996–2001 Type R bars are 24mm, against 22mm on the 1996–2000 Civic EX/HX. The EK sway bar guide on EK9.org groups the DC2 Integra front bars with the EX/HX bars because they all use the EX/HX lower control arm. LS and GS-R bars use EX/HX-style endlinks; the Type R bar uses its own Type R endlinks.

Required modifications

Requires Civic EX or HX front lower control arms; DX, CX and LX arms have no sway bar mount, so cars with those arms must swap arms first. Use Civic EX/HX endlinks for Integra LS and GS-R bars, or Integra Type R endlinks for the Integra Type R bar (horizontal eye at the bar end). Fit new bushings sized to the bar, plus the bushing brackets if the car did not come with a front bar. The bracket mounting points are present on every EK body, so no drilling or tapping is needed.

Caution

Important caveats

  • Civic DX, CX and LX front lower control arms have no sway bar mount, so cars with those arms need EX or HX arms as well.
  • The 1999–2000 Civic Si and Civic Type R front arms are a different style and are matched to their own 26mm bar, not the Integra bar.
  • Integra front bars come in two sizes: 22mm on the LS and 24mm on the GS-R and Type R, so check which bar you are buying.
  • No OEM part numbers were confirmed for this entry.
