Installation notes
Yes — the 5-lug hubs and brakes from a 1998-2002 Honda Accord V6 (CG) fit a 1998-2002 Honda Accord 4-cylinder (CG) with V6 front and rear knuckles, calipers, 5-lug rotors and disc-type parking-brake cables. The 6thGenAccord DIY by moderator BlkCurrantKord covers converting a 4-cylinder LX to 5-lug with rear discs. He notes the V6 front rotors are almost an inch bigger than the 4-cylinder ones. In another DIY thread, the owner fitted V6 rear knuckles, calipers, parking-brake cables and the V6 master cylinder and proportioning valve. RedRyder points 4-cylinder owners who want 5-lug wheels to the same DIY in a separate thread.
Caution
Important caveats
- 4-cylinder LX cars with rear drums need the disc-type parking-brake cables and rear brake lines as well as the knuckles.
- The master cylinder differs between V6 (46100-S0K-A03) and 4-cylinder (46100-S84-A53) cars per a forum post; check bias after the swap.
- The swap changes the bolt pattern to 5x114.3, so the original 4-lug wheels no longer fit.
- Get the ABS sensors with the donor knuckles if possible; they are hard to remove from old knuckles.
