Dual-piston front brake calipers (with larger rotors)

Important Caveats

• • The calipers are stamped R and L but must be fitted on the opposite corners so each bleeder screw sits at the top; installed as marked, the system cannot be bled.
• • The two pistons in each caliper are different sizes, so left/right placement also sets piston orientation, reinforcing the need to fit them on the correct corner.
• • Whether the Legend proportioning valve should also be swapped was debated; the installer ran without it successfully, but one commenter suspected the larger front calipers could shift front/rear brake bias.
• • All 1997-1999 CLs are 4-lug; confirm your rotor and hub pattern before ordering.
• • Brakes are safety-critical; verify the finished system before road use.
