The lip's central mounting-bracket hole aligns with an existing hole in the EG bumper, allowing a single short screw with nut and wide washer to anchor the middle. The corners, which stand proud because of the wider Si profile, are drawn in using long flat-ended screws threaded through freshly drilled holes and adjusted from behind with nuts. Combined with strips of 3M double-sided tape at the center, mid-sides, and edges, this closes the corner gaps and produces a flush fit with no exposed hardware.

The CR-Z factory recess measures roughly 110mm x 82mm, whereas EP3 and FD2 Type R emblems are about 95mm x 75mm (3.75 in x 3 in). The Type R badges therefore overlap the outline of the recess rather than seating inside it, contacting only the raised edge, which is less secure without added tape. Common fitment is the FD2/Fit front emblem (Honda part# 75700-SNW-003) and the 04-05 EP3 rear emblem (Honda part# 75700-S5T-E11), though some owners run the same front emblem front and rear. The rear application benefits most from foam tape because a curved emblem gaps in the middle against the flatter rear panel. A larger 06+ Civic Si front (about 1/8 to 1/4 inch over stock) covers the indentation more fully on both ends.

Type R (CTR) rear centre light panel

The centre panel shares the same tailgate mounting points across the FK/FN2 range, so it physically bolts up. The real work is lighting function: the standard pre-facelift car houses its rear fog inside the centre cluster, which the Type R panel lacks. To remain road-legal you must either relocate the fog into the driver's-side reverse light or fit a Type R brake/fog side panel with its own fog housing and wire it in. The fog bulb holder is the same as the reverse or number-plate light holder and can be sourced from Honda; use a 921 12V 21W capless bulb for the fog rather than a 5W 501. Access to the retaining nuts is either through the tailgate bulb covers with an 8mm ring spanner or by removing the inner tailgate trim entirely.

Once the matching Type R/S arches are used, the splitters, skirts and triangles attach with the standard 5-door poppers, clips and 10mm bolts. The full set must be used together: mixing Type R splitters with standard arches leaves a visible gap. A persistent gap of roughly 1.5 inches over about 4 inches remains at the rear door/skirt junction and is closed with rubber strip, fibreglass or vinyl. Minor screw-hole misalignment is normal because the 5-door inner liner is rounded where the 3-door arch is more triangular. The rear splitter needs 3-door exhaust triangles and reflectors, and the tailpipe may vibrate against the new triangles.

Certain Honda Accord wiper blades use serviceable rubber refills rather than sealed beam blades, and they share the 19 inch and 26 inch lengths used on the Acura TL. Because they match on length, the Accord blades sweep the TL glass correctly and clip directly onto the existing J-hook arms with no cutting or fabrication: lift the retaining clip, slide the old blade off, and slide the Accord blade on. Owners have paired 2008-2012 Accord blades with the 3G TL and 2013-2017 Accord blades (part numbers 76620-T2F-A01 driver and 76630-T2F-A01 passenger) with the 4G TL, where the newer blades sit slightly lower on the windshield. The replaceable inserts fit 2008-2017 blades, so the main payoff is inexpensive OEM refills every year instead of buying full assemblies.

Wings West W-Type Accord side skirts and rear valance

The kit mixes chassis: the front lip is the Wings West CL Type R piece, which fits the CL directly, while the side skirts and rear valance come from the Accord catalog. The Accord side skirts do not bolt to the CL body directly; they slide over the factory CL side skirts (which stay on the car) and are held by the door tab plus four self-tapping screws per side, two in each wheel-well area. The rear valance is fixed with 3/4-inch 3M double-sided tape and screws, two per wheel well and four to five underneath. As mounted, the skirts sit noticeably lower than the front and rear pieces (roughly 4.5 inches deep), so the front lip is typically angled downward at the wheel wells to bring the three pieces into line.
